Like her late husband, Coretta Scott King was an advocate for racial peace and nonviolent social change. After Dr. King’s assassination in 1968, Coretta Scott King kept his dream alive while raising their four children. In 1969 she founded the King Center for Nonviolent Social Change in Atlanta and was a leader in the effort to have a federal holiday named after Dr. King. DETAILS
