The Roots Of Carnival - The Greatest Show On Earth!

Brazil, once a Portuguese colony, is famous for its carnival, as is Mardi Gras in Louisiana, USA (where African-Americans mixed with French settlers and Native Americans). In the Caribbean, the most famous and largest carnival celebration is in Trinidad, but several other Caribbean islands have pre-Lenten carnivals too: Bonaire, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Curaçao, Dominican Republic, St. Bartholomew, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia, Aruba, St, Maarten and Guyana.   DETAILS
